Since these pictures were taken I've, yes, rearranged again. lol
Below you will find pictures of my studio/scraproom/craftroom/sewing room. It's the "living room" of our two story house and it's approximately 27feet long X 13feet wide. I bought closet maid type cabinets/shelving for half the room, with the fancy doors to shut everything off and make it look neat. Didn't work. lol I had to take the doors off because they just got in the way. They only opened straight out so it was a little claustrophobic and the light didn't make it inside the cabinets very well so it was hard to see what was in there. Once I took the doors off everything was perfect. I know I could organize a little better with neat little totes(maybe someday) but for now it's working for me.
I'm famous for rearranging and constantly organizing so my studio will probably change more often than not. But these pictures will give you an idea of my little crafting world. Hope you enjoy.
(And remember, you can click on the pictures to view them in a larger format)
This first picture is my sewing side of the room. I'm standing about in the middle of the room when taking this pic. The executive chair you see there I don't use. It's for sis(the hag) and for hubby when he comes in to sit and talk. Sis likes it because there is a vent that blows hot air on her there.
All my rulers, tape measure, yard stick, etc.
Next up is a closer up view of my cutting table. It's two large 30" X 72" tables lashed together to make one large table thats 60" X 72". I put the whole thing up on 6" bed risers to make it a comfortable height when standing. As you can see I also have my ironing surface and die cutter on the end near my sewing machine.
This is my sewing table. It's about 21" X 48". Bought it for $2.00 at a garage sale a few years back. Love it except I hit my knees on the area where the drawers are. If I could find a desk about this size that didn't have drawers under it, that would be perfect. The knob on the drawer does come in handy to hang my trash bucket from though. That old stool/seat/chair under it was my mothers. The lid lifts off and I can remember her keeping sewing things in there. She too used the stool at her sewing machine. Just a little piece of her I keep with me while I sew. Makes me smile. The sewing basket on top usually is in the drawer.
This is another view of my cutting table from the ironing surface/die cutting side.
My Accuquilt Studio die cutting machine. Love love love this thing. Got it about a year ago. Hope to start using it more now that I have it in a more convenient place.
The dies that go with my Accuquilt Studio die cutter.
Quilting patterns, books, thread, buttons, sewing supplies that aren't in my sewing table. And crochet hooks on the bottom in the left drawer unit. The top of this bookcase has batting and sewing machine parts.
My Fabric stash. I plan on busting out a bunch of this soon(hopefully).
And yet another view of my cutting table area.
My Design wall. Where I audition blocks, layout designs, etc. It's rather bare right now because I'm just finishing up the last of my UFO's and have almost everything cleared off of it. The one thing hanging on it is a Dresden project I'm working on.. that piece was just a test to make sure the pieces were going to fit together properly. We have 9 foot ceilings so my design wall is that tall by about 65" across. I have another opportunity for design wall real estate to the left (that's a corner). The other wall area there is about 55" by 9 foot high.
This is the over flow that went into the dining room to make room for me to expand my sewing area in the craftroom. While moving bookcases, one collapsed so that is what is sitting on the floor, stuff that will go into a new bookcase once I get one.
These next pictures are going to be of my scrapbooking side of the room. I'm standing in my sewing area when taking this pic.
Another view angled more towards my scrap table(the one with the t.v. on it). My scrap table is another 30" X 72" table but it's not up on risers. That's my desk to the left of it out in the middle of the room, sort of.
Area behind the desk.
Still behind desk, on the back wall.
Behind the desk, other corner.
Same corner, up a little more, showing the 30" X 96" table.
Another view of long table. All those books lined up there are all on doll collecting.
My Punches
Since taking these photo's I've moved them once again to the small skinny drawers of the cabinets. But thought I would still share the pictures so you could get a sense of how many I have.
My super industrial strength punch press. Couldn't imagine life without it now. Works like a charm on all button punches.
Sizzix & Spellbinders
The first picture shows all the larger sizzix dies, like the originals & bigz.
This second picture shows where I keep my XL dies, on top of the racks. I also have some alphabet dies(over more to the left) and also my movers & shapers. There are also the long skinny decorative strip dies up there. (Probably a few cobwebs too)
And this last picture shows a drawer where I keep all the smaller sizzix dies, like the sizzlets. I keep them stored in CD cases, 4 to a case. You can see an example of one laying on top. The tin box to the right is my reference file. I cut an example of every sizzix die I own and glued each one to a piece of scrap cardstock. This drawer also houses my Spellbinders. They are all in the spiral binders on the left front.
Cuttlebug
Love my little bug embossing folders. Just wish they would come out with some larger ones.
First picture shows the shelf where all things cuttlebug reside. I really love these pull out drawers from Walmart. I think they are originally supposed to be for shoes or something.
Next picture shows the larger embossing folders and also folders with combo cutting die. I organize alphabetically.
This next drawer has a mix of longer embossing folders, longer dies and a few other things.
Next up is my Cuttlebug sampler. I embossed each folder and cut out each die and made myself a sampler booklet. Sometimes those folders are just a tad hard to really see how the design would look on actual paper, the sampler book solves that. I also wrote the name of each folder or die on the sampler page. And while I'm talking labels, I label each of my actual folders and dies with the name.
Next are the smaller embossing folders and folder/die combos.
And last is the drawer with cutting mats and also on the bottom are the newer quilling dies. I forgot to mention I also have other cutting mats, longer ones, laying on top of the drawers. You can see them in the first picture.
Paper wall
It houses all my cardstock, patterned paper, chipboard and even a few empty albums. You'll also see some of my stamps in dvd cases.
First up, the whole enchilada.
The rest of the pictures are just closer views, next one will be chipboard on the top shelf, reds, pinks, oranges cardstock/paper on the next shelf down.
Next, top shelf grungeboard, grungepaper, Stampin' Up page kits and designer paper, and the shelf under that is yellows, greens, some blues.
Next, top shelf K&Company, Cosmo Cricket. Lower shelf blues, purples and some browns.
Last section, top empty 12X12 albums and page protectors and snap binder thingies, also 8½X11 empty albums. Lower shelf browns, blacks, whites, specialty(like metal sheets, clear acetate, vellum).
Last picture is a basket where I keep 8X8, 4X6 mat stacks of designs that dont have a main color, they have too many colors to put into one color selection.
Bind-it-all & Cricut
I also have the Cricut Expression & Craftwell's Ecraft (not pictured)
Stamps
The DVD cases hold my unmounted SU! stamps and a few angel company stamps I have. The rest are in drawers.
Next two pictures are of the "catalog" I keep of my stamps(it's a work in progress).
JustRite Stamps
I organize my JustRite stamps in plastic drawer units by size. Within each drawer I store each set in nugget tins with the name wrote on the tin with a sharpie. I also made myself a reference guide of each set.
