As you probably know by now my name is Myra Shaw. I'm married to a wonderful retired army guy(so proud of you!) who now works for the Sheriff's department. I have a handsome son and a precious granddaughter, plus a whole host of spoiled furry kids. I'd like to introduce you to each one.
* * *
This is my husband, Alan. He's the most kind, generous and supportive person I've ever had the pleasure to know. He always has my back and supports me 100% in anything/everything I do.
* * *
My son, Darrell. He has a very sweet soul. I'm sorry the picture isnt any better, it's the last picture I have of him. I haven't seen him since 2004. Pray for him.
Found this picture of Darrell on the internet in 2010.

My granddaughter, Baelee. Isn't she precious?! She is the daughter of my son. She lives with her greatgrandmother on her mother's side. I have never had the pleasure to meet her but her ggrandmother sends me pictures occasionally, for which I am very greatful.
* * *
Now for my furkids. I'll start with the oldest and work my way down the list.
Rudy, or Rudy Doo as we affectionately called him. He lived to be 15years old, we had to let him go in 2006. Miss you bud!
* * *
Sissy, aka: the hag, sybil. She is the cranky old lady(besides me) of the house. She is 13 years old(January 2011). We rescued her from a shelter when she was about a year old.
..... Did I mention she is spoiled rotten & very grumpy? Also going blind and losing her teeth. =)
* * *
Chester, aka: Handsome, or pajama boy when he has his hair cut off. He is also around 13 years old(September 2011). He adopted us when he was around 6-7 years old. He was declawed, front and back, had an imbedded flea color and didnt have much fur left from malnutrition when he came to us. As you can see he's a happy healthy spoiled little camera hog now.
* * *
Punkin, aka: Turd butt boy. He'll be 7 years old this year(September 2011). He was another rescue from a rescue group. He started out life pretty miserable, inverted testicle, worm infestation, eye problems(which we still deal with today) and he was very skinny. As you can see he hasn't missed a meal since. He's the trouble maker of the family.
* * *
Ladybug, aka: Princess. She is 6 years old(January 2011). Thinks she's still a baby, wants to be held and touched all the time. Very spoiled. She's a german shepherd dog. We bought her when she was a baby from some people in the next town.
* * *
Sassy, so timid and shy. She was just starting to come out of her shell when we lost her at the vet's. We took her and her litter mate, Ladybug in to have them spayed and Sassy passed away from heart failure on the table. We miss her dearly. She was a white german shepherd dog.
* * *
Moxy, aka: The Oaf. She'll be 6 years old (June 2011). We got her after we lost Sassy to give Ladybug a companion to play with. She's very clumsy and a little bit backwards. She also is a german shepherd dog we bought from some people. She's always been under Ladybugs thumb until recently she has started to take on a life of her own. She too is very spoiled.
* * *
And last, but certainly not least is Shorty or Shorty man. He will be 4 years old this year(2009) if he's still living. He showed up on our doorstop a couple of years ago, so thin he could hardly walk, bow legged, boney, not much life left in him. We nursed him back to health as you can see from the picture. He lived outside since our hateful bunch inside wanted nothing to do with him. He showed up every now and then for meals.. and then about 6 months ago he quit coming around. We dont know if he was picked up by the pound, killed or adopted by some other kind soul. We wish him the best and miss him, wherever he is. We still consider him a part of the family.

I thought I would share with you a poem I wrote for my mom for Mother's day 1993
In The Garden Of Jesus
Beautiful sunshine, soft gentle rain
Flowers that bloom again and again
Butterflies sing a hymn with their wings
Trees and their leaves dance praise to the King
Dew drops and blossoms, shine just to please us
This is what I see in the Garden of Jesus
*
Peaceful slumber and unending rest
This I see as my final quest
Meadows with colors of every degree
Gods children laughing and playing so free
No sorrow, no pain, no grief to seize us
This is what I see in the Garden of Jesus
*
Birds and their babies, sing with such sweetness
Strength and grace, filled with meekness
Deep blue pools of shimmering calm
Angels singing a Heavenly psalm
Filling our souls and minds with completeness
This is what I see in the Garden of Jesus

Myra
Not sure you will want to print this but I just wanted to sypathise with you about your son.
We haven't seen our son in over 2 years and he is now in a rehab one more time.
We do have two grand-daughters which their other grandmother raised but we do see them.
It seems they just cannot overcome their problems and in our case we can't help him as he hasn't seemed to help himself.
I can live with this but I feel bad for the girls as kids really want parents.
OK, enough said LOL
Have a great week

You have a wonderful family along with all your precious pets. God has surely blessed.
I love your creative work also. I love the punch work. It is amazing what you can do with punches. Here everyone thought it was just for one design.
Thank you for sharing with us all that you do.---Donna
